Conception-related

  • PMADs encompasses a variety of diagnoses that can occur either during pregnancy or in the postpartum period. This includes postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, or postpartum OCD. Dr. Veras has experience treating all of these conditions and can help you get back to feeling like yourself again.

  • Wondering how your prior psychiatric history will be impacted by pregnancy? Or if the current psychiatric medications you are taking are safe in pregnancy? Dr. Veras can have this discussion with you and answer all your questions before planning to conceive.

  • ADHD in pregnancy and postpartum can be uniquely challenging, with changing hormones and other physical changes that impact the effectiveness of your medications and ability to focus. Dr. Veras can help you manage ADHD in pregnancy to feel your best.

  • The emotional toll of infertility can be profound, often with feelings of grief, frustration, and isolation alongside physical challenges. Dr. Veras can provide support during this delicate period of uncertainty.

  • Postpartum psychosis is a psychiatric emergency that requires immediate hospital treatment. While Dr. Veras does not provide acute care for this condition, she may be able to support you in preventing future episodes and creating a long-term treatment plan once you are stabilized.
